Dean Lee Gore, 62, of Hungards Creek passed away January 31, 2026, at his home following a long illness. Born September 16, 1963, in Hinton he was the son of the late Lloyd Gore Sr. and Betty Lou Smith Gore.
Dean was a Graduate of Hinton High School where he played basketball, a correctional officer at FCI Alderson until his retirement, played football for WV Tech, substitute teacher for the Summers Co. School System. He loved to ride his motorcycle, listen to music and spend time with his family and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three siblings, Josephine Standard, Bobby Joe Smith and Lloyd “Chuck” Gore Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory include four siblings, Dinah Smith, Jerry Gore and wife Kathy, Tim Smith and Brenda Gore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services, and a family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
