Dean Richard Grasley, 46, of Danbury, Connecticut, passed away on July 1, 2025. He was born on August 2, 1978, in Buffalo, New York, to Richard ("Dick") Grasley and Carol Noethe (Tucker).
Dean worked in the auto industry as a transporter, one of his many diverse jobs. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, quick wit, and deep devotion to his family.
Among his many passions, he loved Fishing. He loved to go to the Farmington River with Kyle, his friends, or even by himself, to just sit in the river and listen to the water. In his younger years, he was an avid skateboarder and passed that passion down to his son. They would often skate together. Kayla inherited his sarcasm and quick wit, and they would often sit and laugh together and at each other. Dean happily supported his children in anything they chose to do. He was so proud of them.
Dean loved his rescue dogs and most recently his beloved Hank.
Dean would often be found sitting by the fire pit with friends and family, listening to his Punk/Ska music. It was when he was at his happiest, surrounded by his loved ones.
His family is comforted that he found peace and happiness in the last few years of his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Melissa Grasley (O'Neil), and his cherished children, Kayla Grasley and Kyle Grasley. He is also survived by his mother, Carol (Tucker) Noethe, his first wife Meghan Barrett, and his sisters, Andrea Schade (George) and Carrie Walters (Scott). Dean will be fondly remembered by his parents-in-law, Ralph Davis Jr., and Betsy Davis; his niece and nephew, Sophia Schade and Logan Schade; and extended family and friends.
The family will welcome visitors on Friday, July 11, from 4:30 to 7:00 PM with a brief service at 5:30pm, at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Danbury Animal Welfare Society.
