Dean Hoffman Obituary

Dean was born January 5, 1948 in McKeesport, PA. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Vietnam conflict from 1966-1968. Dean was a graduate of Point Park University, Pittsburgh, PA. and was employed as Manager, of Customer-Vendor Support Services with Kennametal, Inc in Latrobe, PA for 28 years before retiring in 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Dana Ferrarini Hoffman, stepson Randy (Caroline) Keefe, grandson Korban Keefe, brothers Harry (Leslie) Hoffman, Keith (Cindy) Hoffman, Russell Hoffman and sister Aimee (Kevin) Chapman. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald J. and Lois Hoffman and brothers Bruce Hoffman and Stephen Hoffman.
Dean was a cherished friend to all in his Naples, FL Vanderbilt community. His zest for life and huge personality were evident as you saw him in his neon green shirt and shoes riding his bike through the neighborhood. He spent endless hours on the golf course and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He also had a passion for Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos where he was known as a very lucky man on the slot machines.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 20, 2024 at 11:30 am at Vanderbilt Club, 8250 Danbury Blvd., Naples, FL.
Memorial contributions may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Ln, Naples, FL 34105.

Dean we will miss your energy, humor and the many good times in the club and on the course. We had a lot of laughs. RIP good buddy! All the best to Dana and the family in this time of morning and the future.
