Ronald Dean Kazee, 84, of Ashland, Kentucky went home to be with his Lord, after a brief illness.

He was born September 12, 1940, in Ashland, Kentucky the son of the late Lawrence H. Kazee and Almeda Crisp Kazee Trout and raised from the age of three by his grandparents, Gaylord Douglass and Pearl R. Kazee.

Dean retired from the Ashland Petroleum Company. He was a member of the Truth Baptist Church in Lehigh Acres, Florida and faithfully attended the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Ashland.

He loved to bass fish and spending his winters in Florida.

In addition to his parents and grandparents he was also preceded in death by seven sisters, Helen Jean Branham, Debra Lynn Malloy, Fredrika Sue Parker, Catherine Marie Buttry, Paula Kaleen Kottke, Jacquelyn Rose West and Teresa Jean Page.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Ivetta F. Kendall Kazee; two sons, Sean C. Kazee of Ashland and Kevin Dean Kazee of Sydney, Australia; the light of his life granddaughter, Dehlia Kazee of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters, Leslie Dawn Martindale of Florida and Romona Dee Meek of Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM Wednesday August 27, 2025 at the Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum by Dr. Jacque Compton and Rev. Deanna Bradley. Burial will follow at the Ashland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Wednesday at the Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Christian Church DOC, 1930 Winchester Ave Ashland KY 41101.
