Dean went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 5, 2023.
Dean was a kind and loving man, whose love for his wife of 69 years was so evident to all who knew him. Spending time with family was very important to him, and he felt blessed by the family that the Lord had given him. He was a volunteer fireman for Barnard Fire Department for many years, a Past Commissioner of the Keystone District of the Boy Scouts of America, and after he retired from Kodak, became a clown and member of the Grease Paint Alley Clowns, where one of his greatest joys, was to visit the children at the Golisano Childrens Hospital, in hopes of brightening their day. He also served his Savior Jesus well, whether it was his time as an usher, or as a parking lot attendant at Vacation Bible School. His presence in the lives of his family and friends will be greatly missed, but we know that he is in the presence of his Savior and has already begun worshipping Him in heaven for all eternity.
Predeceased by his parents Floyd and Esther Marsaw.
Survived by his loving wife Barb, daughter Sandy (Mike) Kabat, son Bill (Beth) Marsaw, grandchildren Brian (Gabby) Kabat, Erica Kabat, Chris (Kimmylee) Marsaw, Nick (Anna) Marsaw, great-grandchildren Aiyana, Eliana and Benny, sister Kay (Jim) Sharpe, brother-in-law Richard (Laurie) Gould, and nephews.
Private interment at Falls Cemetery Friday October 13, 2023. A memorial service and celebration of Dean's life is planned for Saturday October 14, 2023 at 10:00 am, at First Bible Baptist Church, 990 Manitou Rd, Hilton NY.
