Dean E. Martinez, 49, passed to his Heavenly Home on July 1, 2024, at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. He was born on July 18, 1974, in Denver Colorado. He grew up in Dixon, NM.
Dean was preceded in death by his twin brother Dion Martinez; grandparents Juan Andres and Elieza Martinez and Casimiro and Patrocinia Casados and other relatives.
Dean is survived by his son Skyler Martinez; his parents Elmer and Mary Jessie Martinez from Dixon, NM; his sister Yvette Otero; girlfriend Lisa Cantrell; nephews Marcus and Jacob Otero from Albuquerque, NM; niece Dionna Martinez from Salt Lake City, UT; aunts and uncles Johnny and Judy Casados, Casey and Flora Casados, Michael Casados of Chamisal, NM, Tonita and Bill Vigil from Albuquerque, NM, Rufina and James Leyba of Albuquerque, NM and Rosie Casados from Long Beach, CA; Oliver and Soraida Martinez from Santa Fe, NM, Linda and Ernie Labreck from Albuquerque, NM, Mary Lou and Ron Koncher from Espanola, NM; and many cousins, relatives and friends.
Dean was a plumber/pipefitter for the Local Union 412. Dean loved his guitar and was passionate for music and also loved working on cars. He had a sense of humor and made us laugh. Dean left us with a void in our hearts.
A Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 9:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Dixon, NM, with a Rosary to follow at 10:00 am, with Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at the Dixon Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers are Skyler Martinez, Robert Sanchez, Dominic Maestas, Shawn Plemons, Carlos Zamora and Antonio Martinez.
A “Special Thank You” to the doctors and nurses at Espanola Presbyterian Hospital and Presbyterain Hospital in Albuquerque.
