Dean Raasch, age 54, of Granton, WI, died Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.
Dean Allan Raasch was born on February 3, 1969, in Medford, WI, the son of William and Joyce (Messmann) Raasch. He attended schools in Medford and Colby, and then worked at Weathershield, Leeson and, most recently, MEC in Neillsville, WI. On July 22, 2017, he was united in marriage to Tina Schmitt at Mead Lake. They have resided in Granton for the past 18 years.
Dean was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stetsonville, WI. He was an avid hunter, especially bow hunting and fisherman. He would often walk the woods just to scout out the wildlife. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and sitting on his deck at their cabin listening to Kenny Rogers music.
He is survived by his wife, Tina, children, Tara Weiler of Medford, WI, Cody Raasch of Medford, WI, Nicole Raasch of Granton, WI, Samantha Schultz of Chili, WI, Matthew (Delilah) Schnabel of Granton, WI, and Alexander Schnabel of Chili, WI, seven siblings, Ronald (Kristen) Raasch of Medford, WI, Tammy (Jeff) Lange of Medford, WI, Michelle Raasch of Dorchester, WI, Brian (Tina) Raasch of Colby, WI, Kari (Gary) Lyon of Abbotsford, WI, Dana (Kevin) Fechhelm of Abbotsford, WI, and Ann Hoffman of Osseo, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister, Kathy.
A Memorial Service for Dean will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, WI. Pastor Terry Marg will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stetsonville, WI at a later date. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11;00 a.m. Tuesday at the Gesche Funeral Home.
