Dean W. Wubben, 48, of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2025, at St. Francis de Sales Church, Hazel Green, Wisconsin, with Fr. Peter Auer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6:00 p.m. Friday, May 16 at Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, Wisconsin, and from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.
Dean was born on April 9, 1977, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Walter “Willie” and Elizabeth “Betsy” (Wall) Wubben. He graduated from Southwestern High School in 1995 and earned his Business Administration Degree from UW-Platteville. During college, he worked at A.Y. McDonald. Dean was united in marriage to Darci Frazier on July 7, 2012, at the Century Barn in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin.
Dean worked at Precision Devices until 2009, and for the past 12 years, he worked at Trek Bicycle as a product quality engineer. Dean loved classic cars, motorcycles, going to car shows and working in his garage. He especially looked forward to traveling to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally with his dad. Dean couldn’t part with anything and found meaning in all things related to family. He purchased his family home, allowing him to care for and spend more time with his mom who he checked on daily, sometimes twice a day. Dean and Darci often traveled, including trips to Iceland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Canada, and Oregon. Dean often traveled to Asia for work. Closer to home, Dean enjoyed going to wineries with his Mom and Darci. He was an avid weight lifter who enjoyed spending time with his weight lifting friends. Dean loved listening to Aaron Lewis, Cody Jinks and Larry Fleet. His favorite songs were “Where I Find God” and “Everybody Talks to God”. Dean appreciated his Sunday naps and loved his cats, Molly and Luke.
Survivors include his wife, Darci Wubben, Hazel Green, WI; his mother, Betsy Wubben, Platteville, WI; and two sisters, Dawn Sheffer, Cuba City, WI, and Lynn Kamm, Dubuque, IA.
He was preceded in death by his father.
