Deana Smith Obituary
Deana Marie Smith of Potosi, Missouri, was born on September 8, 1977, in Ellenburg, Washington, the daughter of Dixon Womack and Patti Hamilton. She departed this life on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Mercy Hospital, at the age of 48.
Deana was united in marriage to her loving husband, Kenneth Smith Sr., who survives. She is also survived by her children: Kenneth (Chelsea) Smith Jr. and Jennifer Smith; as well as Robert, Dixon, and Jeremy; two grandchildren, Analise Lanham-Boyer and Isabella Smith; her father, Dixon (Denise) Womack; her mother, Patti Murphy; and siblings, Brandon Womack, Joseph Womack, and Gary Murphy Jr.
She leaves behind her special niece, Dorothy McAllister; special nephew, Barry (Sandy) Smith Jr.; her mother-in-law, Betty Denton; and her in-laws: Vincent and Giget Price, Barry Smith, Mary Tucker, Angie Landford, and Daleane Denton. Deana will also be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives she touched.
Deana had a truly big heart. She absolutely loved animals, and she enjoyed playing on her cell phone, watching true crime stories, reading a good book, and bowling in local leagues alongside her husband. Above all, she cherished time with her family—especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Deana attended Potosi Community Church and deeply loved her church family, finding joy, comfort, and fellowship among them.
Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM and will continue until her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Interment and final prayers will be held at New Diggins Cemetery.
Deana's funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to DeClue Funeral Home.
Deana’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
