Deane M. Warcup

Deane M. Warcup, 78, of North Scituate, formerly of Warwick, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James W. and Catherine E. (Phillips) Warcup.
Deane was a Veteran of the US Army and acheived the rank of SP4.
Deane worked as a diesel truck mechanic for Peterbilt of Rhode Island, Erickson Oil, and Mack Trucks. He was a volunteer at The Exeter Animal Shelter, the Potterville Fire Station in Scituate and was Vice President of Hope Community Services. He was a member of the Plymouth Car Owners Club, was an avid classic car enthusiast, and enjoyed attending car shows.
He is survived by his children Nicole D. Beauregard (Mark) of Cumberland, Christine Poncia, a Retired Newport Police Officer (Christopher) of North Carolina, and his stepdaughter's Linda Branch (Al) of Ct, and Melissa Swain of Jamestown, his grandson Michael, and step-grandchildren Mandy, John, and Joseph, his 4 step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Deane was predeceased by his brothers James W. Warcup, Jr., Bruce P. Warcup, and his sister Judith A. McLaughlin.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 10:00AM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick. Interment with Military Honors will be at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
Visitation will take place prior to the service from 8:00AM-10:00AM.
