Deanna Lucile Collins

Deanna Lucile Collins, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at the age of 88 in Provo, Utah. She was born on December 31, 1937, in Davenport, Iowa, to Milton Leroy Zesiger and Dorthy Lucille Moss.

On February 1, 1960, Deanna married Leonard Leon Collins. They were sealed in the Mesa Arizona Temple on December 2, 1964. Together they built a family and shared 54 years of marriage. Above all, Deanna was devoted to her family. She will be remembered for her steady presence, her love for home and family, and the quiet care she gave so faithfully through the years. After Leonard passed away, one of her greatest joys was gathering with her grandchildren and their families for holidays and special events.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Leon Collins, on February 18, 2014; her first child, Deborah Lynn Collins, who was lost in miscarriage at about five months on May 6, 1960; and her first grandchild, Bradley Alan Collins, who died in an accident on September 12, 2022.

Deanna is survived by her sister, Margaret Cone; her brother, David Zesiger; her children, Leonard Alan, Jeffery, Michael, Gregory, Michele Aguilar, and Heather Alexander; 28 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. Another great-grandchild, through Alan’s line, and her first great-great-grandchild, through Jeff’s line, are expected in March 2026. In her final months, despite failing eyesight, she crocheted baby blankets for both of them, just as she had done so many times before.
