Deanna Lenzini Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dyamond Memorial Funerals, Cremations, and Monuments on Jan. 18, 2026.
Deanna Lee Lenzini, 84, of Ankeny, Iowa passed away on January 11, 2026.

Deanna was a beautiful and loving woman whose life was defined by devotion to her family, and kindness toward all who knew her.

She was the dedicated and loving wife of Bruno G. Lenzini, with whom she shared a life built on commitment, partnership, and love. Deanna was a proud and devoted mother to her three sons, Anthony Lenzini, John and Dominic Lenzini, whom she cherished beyond measure. Nothing brought her greater joy than celebrating their accomplishments and the men they became.

Deanna was a doting grandmother to Jonni Solum and Daniel Lenzini, whose lives she filled with unconditional love, and gentle guidance. She was also a protective and loyal sister to Ron Anderson (Dianna) and Robert Anderson (Annette), holding family bonds close to her heart throughout her life.

A graduate of Saydel High School in Des Moines, Iowa in the class of 1959, Deanna went on to spend many fulfilling years working at Des Moines Area Community College, where her dedication and work ethic were well known and appreciated.

Outside of work, Deanna found peace and happiness at her acreage in Ankeny, where she spent countless hours walking the land she loved and caring for her surroundings and animals. She especially treasured long summer days and quiet evenings spent on her swing, watching sunsets, visiting with friends and neighbors, and proudly sharing stories about the success of her three boys and her two beloved grandchildren.

Deanna's life was one of grace, strength, and unwavering love. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will never fade.

I was so sorry to read of Deanna's passing. We were neighbors about a block apart and even after they moved we would have great chats when we ran into each other while shopping. It was definitely obvious how much she loved her family and how proud she was of the boys. Her eyes would just twinkle when she talked about them.
Please accept my sincere sympathies and know that you each are in my thoughts and prayers. May your memories bring you comfort and your faith bring you peace knowing that you will all be together again one day.
