Born on December 18, 1937, Deanna devoted her life to inspiring young minds through her passion for teaching, particularly in the field of social studies, where she spent several decades making a lasting impact in classrooms across Connecticut and Texas. Her commitment to education and her profound belief in the value of knowledge shaped the lives of countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on the communities she served.
Deanna is survived by her beloved family. She is the proud mother of Brad Swindell and Carrie Swindell, and the mother-in-law to Ishita Swindell, and who all carry forward her legacy of kindness and intellect. Her grandsons, Alex and Danny, were a source of joy and pride for her, and she cherished the moments spent with them, nurturing their growth and aspirations.
Deanna’s presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the values she instilled in her loved ones and students alike.
