Deatta J. Kassin

Deatta J. Kassin (nee Zmick) age 90, passed away on Sunday, July 31st at the Villa Bella Retirement Community in Clinton Township, Michigan. Loving wife of the late Robert "Bob" Kassin, and beloved mother of David (Kristine), Vivien (Henry) Detone, Catherine (the late Bradley) Teagan, Thomas (Lura), Joseph (Lori), the late Charles, Mary (Mark) Garcia, Donna Lienard, Matthew (Kristin), Paul (Lisa), Jennifer Hawley (Carl Craik) and the late Robert Jr (Cathy) Kassin and the late Charles Kassin. Devoted grandmother of twenty-four. Great-grandmother of thirty-six and great-great grandmother of two. Loving sister of Joseph (Pat) Zmick, Janet (the late Tony) Calomeni, and the late Stan (the late Evelyn) Zmick, and Don (Freddie) Zmick. Deatta was also predeceased by her parents; Casmier and Regina (nee Baranski) Zmick.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 3rd, beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., 49150 Schoenherr Rd., (North of 22 Mile Rd.) Shelby Township, Michigan. A scripture service will take place that evening and the time will be announced when confirmed. Instate Thursday, August 4th 9:30 a.m. until time of 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd., Clinton Township, MI 48038.
