Katherine Marie Hunter

Katherine Marie Hunter, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14th, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on Sunday, September 27th, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, Katherine was a cherished resident of Macomb, MI, where she spent her later years surrounded by loved ones.

Katherine dedicated her career to serving others as a medical assistant, bringing comfort and care to countless patients throughout her life. Her compassionate nature and dedication to her work left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Tracy Lind and Lisa Rivard, who will forever cherish the memories and lessons imparted by their mother. Katherine was also a proud grandmother to Samantha, Jonathon, Heather, and David Jr., and she delighted in the presence of her many great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling Mason MacDonald and Violet Katherine MacDonald, whom she now joins in eternal rest.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Wasik Funeral Home, Shelby Township, MI, on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm, where Katherine's life will be celebrated and her memory honored.
