Debbie Carpenter Alexander, 67, of Suffolk Va passed away on January 26, 2026. She is preceded in death by her father, Jasper Carpenter and brother, Tony Carpenter.

A teacher by trade, she cared deeply for her students, both in the classroom and long after they have grown.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Robert Kirk Alexander; mother, Rosa Bristow Hawn; daughter, Tiffany Hinkle and her husband, Landon; grandson, Maverick; sisters, Kim Curtis and her husband, Jim and Sharon Thomason and her husband, Bobby; niece, Jacqueline Jett; great nephew, Elijah Copeland; and her loving mini schnauzer, Sewell.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 2 PM at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Downtown Suffolk Chapel officiated by Rev. Michael Halley. A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, prior to the service. She will be laid to rest privately at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suffolk, VA due to the weather. Sending prayers & hugs & love to Debbie´s family in this sorrowful time. Debbie was a kind & caring woman, and I have been blessed to have known her most of our lives, I enjoyed babysitting her as a child. She is forever in my heart.
