Alison Wilson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory - Downtown Suffolk on Feb. 28, 2026.
Alison Blevins Wilson, 61, of Suffolk, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on February 26, 2026.

Alison was born on May 6, 1964, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, to David and Nancy Blevins. She was a bright light to all who knew her - a devoted Christian, loving daughter and sister, faithful wife, nurturing mother and grandmother, homemaker, farmer, and wonderful cook. Alison was always ready to open her home with warmth, generosity, and gracious hospitality.

She was the beloved wife of Robert "Scott" Wilson; cherished mother of nine children; and treasured "Mema" to sixteen grandchildren, with two more on the way.

She is survived by her husband, Robert "Scott" Wilson; her daughter Morgan Mathews and her husband, Paul, and their children Vivian, Jonathan, Joseph, Hosanna, Alison, Eden, and Lily; her daughter Katie Wilson; her daughter Madeline Fuhrmann and her husband, Joshua, and their children Brianna, Edmund, Jason, Owen, and Scotland; her daughter Hannah Moody and her husband, Carter, and their daughter, Virginia; her son William Wilson and his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughters Holly, Layla, and Elsie; her daughters Rebecca Wilson and Lucy Wilson; and her sons Samuel Wilson and Gabriel Wilson.

Alison is also survived by her sisters, Laurie Zinni and her husband, Jerome, and their children Joseph, Vivian, and Charles, and Beth McCombs and her children John and Chandler; her nephew, Caden Blevins; her mother-in-law, Martha Jo Wilson; her sisters-in-law Beth White and her husband, Palmer, and their daughters Lauren and Claire, and Lisa Miller and her husband, Scott, and their sons Barry and Clayton; and her brother-in-law, Cret Wilson and his wife, Jeanne-Marie, and their daughters Zinnia and Sofia.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Clark Blevins; her father-in-law, William Wilson; and two beloved grandchildren, Jonah Mathews and Baby Wilson.

A celebration of Alison's life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church, 3488 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk, Virginia 23434, with a reception to follow.
