Mr. James Norman of Suffolk, Virginia was born on January 25, 1937, in Gates County, North Carolina. He peacefully transitioned from this life on February 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Norman was widely known as a loving family man who cherished the time he spent with those closest to him. He was a hardworking and dedicated individual who believed in providing for his family and setting an example of integrity, perseverance, and faith.

A devoted servant of the Lord, Mr. Norman faithfully served as a trustee at New Middle Swamp Baptist Church. His commitment to his church and community reflected the depth of his faith and his willingness to serve wherever he was needed. He was respected and admired by many for his quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering dedication.

Mr. Norman's life was a testament to love, faith, and hard work. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

Family and friends will gather to receive relatives and loved ones on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at St. Paul Baptist Church in Suffolk, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 12:00 noon at New Middle Swamp Baptist Church. Following the service, his remains will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
