Debra Franz (nee Heinfling), of Baltimore, Maryland, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, June 20th, 2025, at the age of 75. She is survived by her loving children, Benjamin Franz, Jonathan Franz, Aaron Franz (Leah Berlin), Aryeh (Katie) Franz, and Chana Franz; her dear sister, Shelley (Neal) Tenen; and her cherished grandchildren, Aimee Franz and David Franz. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David Charles Franz in 2002; her dear siblings, Alan Heinfling, and Neil (Jennifer) Heinfling; and her dear parents, Blanche and Samuel Heinfling.
Debbie and her family were devoted members of Etz Chaim Congregation, and Debbie proudly served for many years as a member of the Indianapolis Chevra Kaddisha.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm in Etz Chaim Sephardic Cemetery, 2200 S. West Street, Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), 9210 Corporate Blvd., Suite 170, Rockville, MD 20850, or to The Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203.
