Debbie Jessica Hernandez, 43, of Rankin, TX., passed away on February 12, 2025, in Crane. She was born in Rockford, Illinois, born to Eugenio and Genoveva Martinez on February 6, 1982.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday beginning at 9am to 9pm at Iglesia Torre Fuerte church in Big Lake. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday at 11am with Pastor Juan Pablo Gonzalez, with burial to follow in Rankin Cemetery.
She went to school to in Edinburg, Texas. She finished her last 3 years of school at Pecos High School in Pecos, TX. She then followed her career to be a CNA and Medical Assistant she worked many years in health care.
Debbie was married to Hilario Vargas Hernandez for 15 years and was a dedicated wife and Mother to her daughter Esmeralda Martinez. Debbie went out of her way in any way she could it did not matter how big or small the obstacles were she was quick to drop everything to help and be there.
Debbie proceeded on her spare time to run her business where her mother-in-law left her went the passed to sell blankets, from there she expanded to sell makeup, jewelry and anything that would come to her mind. She was determined to be big in life. No matter what holiday it was her main course was PIZZA that was her favorite food. Her favorite color was pink, if she could she would paint the whole world pink.
Debbie is preceded in death by her father Eugenio Martinez, her brother Jose Luis Martinez and stepsister Manuela Arranda. She is survived by her husband Hilario Vargas Hernandez, Daughter Esmeralda Martinez of Rankin, Texas, Mother Genoveva and her stepfather Manuel Nieto of Pecos, Texas.
She is also survived by her older brother Eugenio Jr. Martinez of Rockford, Ill., sister Ruby Contreras and husband (Gilbert)of Pecos, Texas. Stepbrother Ruben, Gloria, Elva Nieto of Midland, Texas. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
