Sharon Denise Blakeley went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2026. She passed peacefully after a long and heartbreaking struggle with mental illness.
Sharon was born in Austin, Texas on January 18, 1957 to Johnnye Ashton Blakeley and Major Roy J. Blakeley. She graduated from Rotan High School in 1975, then went on to obtain her Undergraduate and Master’s Degree in Education from Southwest Texas State University. Sharon taught in the Dallas Independent School District for a short time.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Major Roy J. Blakeley, mother, Johnnye Ashton Blakeley, niece Lori Ann Blakeley, and nephew John Payton Camp. She is survived by her sister, Karen Blakeley Gallini of Tyler, and brother Larry Blakeley of Waxahachie, Texas.
A private family gathering will be at a later date to remember and celebrate Sharon’s life.
