Debbie Pittman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Little & Davenport Funeral Home & Crematory on Feb. 18, 2026.
Debbie Rundles Pittman, 68, passed away on February 13th, 2026 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Debbie was born on June 23, 1957, to the late Ernest Edwin Rundles and Peggy Bertie Rundles. She was well known throughout the community for her many years of service at her family's restaurant The Round House and later retired from Ryder System, Inc. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her.

Debbie is survived by her son Benjamin Brian Whitlow of Gainesville; daughter Melissa Ruth Watkins of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Douglas and Michelle Pittman of Pigeon Forge, TN; and son Jeffery Neil Pittman of Morristown, TN; brother and sister in law, Eddie and Sherry Rundles; sister and brother-in-law Nicole and Daniel Moore. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Alexander Isaiah Watkins and fiancée Taylor Flores, Brandon Elijah Watkins, Brook Marie Davis, Jeffery Neil Pittman, Jr., Raymi Michelle Pittman, and Taylor Gordon Pittman; as well as her great grandson, Ezra Isaiah Watkins, who brought her immeasurable joy.

Debbie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends; and her faithful companions, Midnight and Sunshine, who remained by her side with unconditional love.

Debbie had many passions that brought her happiness. She loved watching old westerns, cheering on the Braves baseball team, traditional boxing matches, and the Olympics. She enjoyed showing her competitive spirit during rummy games and was known for "kicking butt" more often than not. She delighted in sneaking bites of her meals to Midnight and Sunshine, and treasured every moment spent with her family. She also loved taking trips to the mountains. Seeing the mountains on the horizon "as if calling her name" brought her a deep sense of peace and joy each time she approached them. Above all else, Debbie's greatest joy came from her great grandson, Ezra. Singing songs with him, watching him play, and seeing his smile brightened her days more than anything else.

Those who knew Debbie will forever remember her for her kindness, generosity, strength, humor, and remarkable sense of fun. She brought warmth and laughter wherever she went and leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in all who loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Glory Hope & Life, or to the American Cancer Society in Debbie's honor.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 7th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home, 355 Dawsonville Highway SW, Gainesville, GA 30501.
