Ms. Debbie Sue Rapier, 66, of Corbin, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 8, 2024 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Setser Rapier Herron born on October 28, 1957 in Corbin.
Debbie was a homemaker and a believer in the Baptist faith. She loved to sew and tend flowers, but she most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ronena Sison; a brother, Teddy Joe Rapier; granddaughter, Bella Renae Ramey and a special friend, Martha Johnson.
Survivors include her loving children, Suzanne Hinkle and husband, Bruce, Nettie Bodine and husband, Johnny, Eric Rapier and wife, Tiffany, Brittany Rapier and Ryan Rapier all of Corbin; sisters, Barbara Phipps, Lois Massie, Tammy Carr and husband, Daniel, Margaret Powers and husband, Don, and Patricia Smith; brothers, Ronnie Rapier and wife, Theresa, and Harrison Rapier; several grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, February 14 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Johnny Shell officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Candle Ridge Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Cody Hurst, Brandon Hoffman, Tre Edwards, Trevor Bodine and Trenton Rapier. Serving as an honorary bearer will be Jace Ramey.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
If you would like to assist the family with funeral expenses, contributions may go to the funeral home.
