Debbie Miller Shepherd, age 59 of Neon, Kentucky, entered her Heavenly Home on Monday, August 15, 2022, at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 12, 1962, in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She was a member of Victory Temple of Thornton, KY. Debbie enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She was known for being a great cook, her potato salad and deviled eggs were second to none. She enjoyed listening to music, shopping, and decorating for the holidays. Debbie had a personality that enlightened people's day. She was spontaneous, outgoing and had a smile as bright as the sun, her laugh warmed the hearts of many. If you had the pleasure of knowing her, then you knew the definition of love.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Ella Slone, mother, Faye Slone Miller, aunt, Lela June Collier, uncle, Woody Slone.
Left to celebrate her life and continue her legacy, son, Alfred Lee (Chrystal) Shepherd of Hazard, KY, daughters, Christen (Megan Little) Cummings of Jenkins, KY, Stefan (Tommy) Caldwell of Whitesburg, KY, brother, Eddie Miller of Neon, KY, sister, Leanna Slone of Shepherdsville, KY, aunts, Alberta Slone, Patty Hall, Rendy Slone and Joan Slone, uncle, Ercel Slone, grandchildren, Ethen (Makayla), Ashtin and Evan, a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, August 17, 2022, beginning at 6 p.m. at New Freedom Worship, 40 Slate Hill, Jenkins, KY and Thursday, August 18, 2022, until the funeral hour on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Brother Danny Quillen, Brother Rick Sturgill, and Brother Alfred Lee Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven of Rest Cemetery, 45 Pine Creek Road, Mayking, KY.
Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
Cumberland Valley Funeral Home of Cumberland, Kentucky is Honored to Serve the Family.
