Deborah Jean "Debbie" Wooden, 74, of Chattanooga, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 6, 2025, after a lengthy battle with Leukemia. She was a member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church in Soddy-Daisy. Debbie was the first female appliance technician at Sears where she retired after over 20 years of service, and afterwards she worked as a nurse's aide with the Seniors Caring for Seniors at Alexian Brothers. She was very entrepreneurial-minded, creating various crafty products and marketing for herself and other companies. Most importantly, she loved the Lord. She was an avid gardener with a green thumb and enjoyed growing and giving her plants and flowers to others. Debbie was a great encourager to her family and all who knew her. Known for her generous spirit, she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness, warmth and willingness to serve others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Debbie's commitment to family was unwavering. She was a very loving wife, mother and provider to her children, and grandmother, giving selflessly to her family and others her entire life. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Ovelean Reynolds and siblings, Junior Reynolds, Elaine Davenport and Pauline Prince.
Survivors are her husband, Ray Wooden; children, Jennie Storm (David) and Melinda Roddy (Brent); grandchildren, Isaiah Storm, Jackson and Elle Roddy; brother, Frank Reynolds; sister, Evelyn Morrow (Morris); special niece, Diane Reece; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
In Heaven and our hearts, she lives on, and we will forever honor the legacy of a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact on everyone who met her.
