Leslie Harvey

William Leslie Harvey, 88, of Bakewell, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 4, 2025. He was born in Soddy and lived in Bakewell most of his life. Leslie was a logger, sawmill man, master fisherman and legendary story teller. Leslie was a member of the Sale Creek Church of Christ. He enjoyed being around people and never met a stranger. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Ousbin and Goldie Harvey and siblings, James Ousbin Harvey, Ken Harvey, Stan "Pinch" Harvey, Betty Carol Smith and Diane Harvey.

Survivors are his wife of 68 ½ years, Reba Hodge Harvey; children, Paula Allen (Jud), Darryl Harvey, Denise Hudlow (Steve), Michelle Harvey (Ronnie Walker), Chris Harvey (Brittni); grandchildren, Kristen Allen, David Allen (Jessie), Daniel Smith (Danielle), Annabelle Harvey, Drake Harvey, Emmitt Harvey, Dylan Walker and Mia Walker; great grandchildren, Jett Smith, Leighton Allen and one on the way; sister, Linda Harvey; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Coleman Cemetery with Minister Steve Brown officiating. The funeral procession will leave at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Those planning to travel to the cemetery should be at the funeral home by 12:00 p.m. Tuesday.
