Stephen Joseph Barnette

Stephen Junior Barnette, a.k.a. "Fuji" to his friends and "Stevie" to his family, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, got his wings on Friday, November 28th, 2025. He was 52.

Stephen was born in Jackson, Michigan on November 3, 1973, to Roy Barnette and Deborah Barnette. Stephen moved here to Tennessee when he was 11 with his mother, father and sister. He went to City High School. Stephen enjoyed playing his games and hanging out, having good times with family and friends. He also enjoyed his karaoke.

Stephen is preceded in death by both his parents, Roy and Deborah Barnette.

He leaves behind his girlfriend of 4.5 years, Tammy Hixson; his son, Dakota Brakebill; his sister, Hersie Barnette; niece, Amanda (Lloyd) Taylor; nephew, Cody Shrum (Tiffany Cook); great niece, Rarri; great nephew, Lloyd; and his extended kids that he treated and loved like his own, Sabrina (Austin) Martin, Ashley (Stphen) Ware, and his pride and joy his granddaughter, Riley.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd from 4-8 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd at 12:00 pm at Welch Rogers Cemetery. Those of you that wish to follow the funeral procession please meet at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m.
