Debby I. Claphan, 83, a devout Christian from Aurora, Colorado, returned to God from natural causes on January 18th, 2025.

She was born in Malta, Montana in 1941 to Lenard Evans and Nora Mae Hershman and was their eldest child. Debby attended Columbia high school before studying Cosmetology in Richland Washington, marrying Billy Ray Claphan, having a beautiful daughter and traveling the world as a military spouse.

Debby was a devoted Christian who cherished her Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. She attended Meadowood Church of Aurora, Colorado and took solace in knowing the Lord was watching over them. Her Christian values informed every aspect of her life and molded her into the beloved person she was.

Debby was preceded in death by her husband; Billy Claphan, Mother; Nora Hershman, Father; Lenard Hershman, brothers; Gary Hershman and Lenard Hershman, Granddaughter; Jennifer Littlejohn, great-grandchildren; Jazzmine and Tiffany and Son In-law; Michael Tucker, who she will meet again in Heaven. She is survived by daughter; Tina Tucker, Sister; Lynelle(Buddy) Lundstrom, grandchildren; Jesse(Chrissy) Bedard, Jared(Nicole) Bedard, Justina(Christopher) Tucker, Jordannah Deshon, great-grandchildren; Alannah, Kyla, Leilah, Riley, Michael, Tristen, Trent, Tiana, Savanna, Elijah, Cervantae, Quentin, Olivia, Torrie, Adysen, Josiah, Izaya, Ty Shaun, and Tavion and many other loved ones who know Debby will be waiting for them in the afterlife.

A viewing will be held on February 10th, 2025 from 9:30am to 10:30am at Newcomer 190 Potomac St. Aurora, CO 80011 and the Celebration of life will follow at 11:30am at Meadowood Church, 16051 E. Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80013. Donations to Meadowood church in Debby’s honor are encouraged.
