Debora (Debbie) Sue Martin, 68, of Northfield, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly in her home on September 1, 2025. Debbie was born on August 11, 1957, in Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Robert Martin Sr and Estella (Whitford) Martin. She was the youngest of seven children. Debbie graduated from Harwood Union High School in 1975. Debbie was a sister, aunt, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and a caregiver to many over the years. She was always willing to help others, even if she was struggling herself, and her family often joked that she needed to learn the word no. Her happiest moments were spending time with her children, taking care of all her grandkids. It brought her so much joy watching them learn and grow. She enjoyed having special tea time with them and especially all the snuggles. Debbie also volunteered for many years at Northfield's food and clothing shelf (CERV). She had a strong love for Elvis Presley, Jeff Gordon, and jewelry, collecting many cherished keepsakes over the years. She is survived by her sons, James Dopp and fiancé Stephanie Austin of Northfield, Daniel Dopp and spouse Chassy Holland of Randolph and Kevin Martin and partner Tabby of Williston; grandchildren, James Jr, Ariel, Alyssa, Jade, Dylan, Brody, Bentley, Zoey, Kevin Jr, Owen, and many great grandchildren as well as her siblings Beverley Chapman, Ronald Martin and wife Pam, James and wife Wendy all of Connecticut. Debbie is predeceased by her mother, father, sister Shirley, and brothers Robert Jr and Tom. A private celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
