Debora Rothwell (Rubenbauer),age 63, of Mount Orab, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025. Born on January 7, 1962, Debora was a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother who will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Debora had a heart that radiated warmth and kindness. She dedicated her life to caring for others, always lending an ear as a wonderful listener and engaging in heartfelt conversations. Her passion for life was evident in the joy she found in catering weddings, where her exquisite culinary skills brought happiness to countless couples on their special days. Beyond her love for cooking, Debora embraced her creative side through crafts, often sharing her creations with family and friends.
She was a vibrant spirit who adored dancing, celebrating the joyful moments in life and encouraging others to do the same. Debora's compassion extended far beyond her family; she was a staunch supporter of St. Jude’s's Hospital and numerous animal rescue organizations, demonstrating her profound love for all living beings.
Debora leaves behind her devoted husband, William Rothwell, Jr.; her loving children, Donna (James Henderson) Rubenbauer and Edward Nance; and her dear brother, Robert (Linda) Rubenbauer. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren: Samantha (Andre Pigman) Rook, Sabrina (Cole) Hadley, Bentley Rook, James Jr. Henderson, John Michael Henderson, Nikki (Justin) Robinson, along with Brandy, Austin, and William Nance. Debora's legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Jullian, Zoey, Kodalee, Zayn, Zylas, Aubrey, Westley, Zelda, Liam, and Isaiah. She is also survived by her nephew, Jeff Rubenbauer. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles E. and Audrey Rubenbauer, brother Edward Rubenbauer, and sister Carol Goins.
Debora's warmth and joy will be celebrated at her funeral service, which will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on December 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A visitation will take place at the same location starting at 10:00 AM, allowing friends and family to gather in remembrance of a life so lovingly lived.
In honoring Debora's spirit, let us remember the joy she brought to our lives and carry forward her legacy of kindness, compassion, and love for one another. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so generously shared.
