Debora Shores

Debora Shores, 71 of Montezuma passed away Friday evening, October 24, 2025 at her home in Montezuma. As was her wish, her body has been cremated and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made in the family's name (checks made payable to Jeremy Shores) for the family to decide on a memorial at a later time and may be sent to Holland-Coble Funeral Home; In Care of Debora Shores; P.O. Box 727; Montezuma, Iowa 50171. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.

Debora Kay Shores, the daughter of Bob and Cecelia (Larimore) Hill, was born on October 4, 1954 in Springdale, Arkansas. She graduated from Little Rock High School. On January 5, 1973, Debora was united in marriage to Charlie Shores in Hevener, OK. She was a proud mother of 3 children, one of whom she lovingly placed for adoption earlier in life. Debora was a housewife taking care of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family; mostly her grandkids, playing card and table games, along with playing bingo, crafting and puzzles.

Her memory will be cherished by her children, Steve Gartman of Boise, ID, Charles Shores, Jr of Grinnell and Jeremy (Taylor Gregson) Shores of Grinnell; her grandchildren, Steven, Spencer, Simon and Georgia; a sister, Martha Hannon and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Debora was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Shores.
