Deborah Kay “Debbie” Ashlock, 60, of Colfax, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at her home. She was born May 23, 1965 in Crawfordsville to John Wesley and Gladys Alyne (Perkins) Hodges. She married Stephen Ashlock on September 19, 1999, and he survives.
Debbie worked for NHK for nearly 30 years. She was a member of Moose Lodge #7. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and going shopping and garage sales. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her big heart and love for others. Those that knew here would call her the sweetest person they had ever met. Her heart and love will be missed by those who knew her.
Along with her husband of nearly 26 years and her mother, Debbie is survived by her children, Amber (Brandon Smith) Hodges and Andrea (Travis) Waddell; step children, Nicole Ashlock and Gregory McKinney; siblings, Judy Hodges, Russell (Patsy) Hodges, Pam (Al) Whiteman; grandchildren, Aaron Hodges, Alyssa Nixon, Ayden Nixon, Alexander Plumb, Asher Plumb, Alexis Waddell, Caitlyn Waddell, Trevor Waddell, Keegan Smith, and Elias Smith; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; siblings, Lera Hodges, Lucy Hodges, Welsey Hodges, J.B. Roller, and infant Jonathan and infant Carla; and a great grandchild.
Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 1pm until the time of the memorial service at 3pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Debbie’s honor to Mooseheart Foundation. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
