Born on November 22, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, Debbie was the cherished daughter of the late Norman and Jeanette Popelchuck. She was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Debbie was a proud graduate of Lincoln Park High School, class of 1973, where she formed lifelong friendships. After graduation, she embarked on a fulfilling career in the restaurant industry, serving as a manager for over 30 years. Her passion for service, combined with her innate ability to connect with people, made her a beloved figure among her colleagues and the many patrons she encountered.
In her personal life, Debbie was a devoted wife to her husband, Mark Bernard, and a loving mother to her daughters, Brita Campbell (husband Travis) and Amanda Lewis (husband Jay). Her role as a grandmother to Seth Richardson and Gibson Lewis was one she cherished with every ounce of her being. The time spent with her grandsons was filled with joy, laughter, and the kind of memories that become cherished family treasures.
