Deborah Kaye Berthold has peacefully gone to be with the Lord on December 27, 2025, at the age of 67.
Debbie was born on February 11, 1958, to Robert and Ruby Cheek. She married David Paul Berthold on October 28, 2022, in Mansfield, Texas.
Debbie devoted her life to her family. She found her greatest joy in being a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Nonnie), great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. She was a very happy person, known for her warm smile and joyful spirit. She would do anything to help her children and grandchildren, teaching them, through her faith in God how to love one another and lead with kindness and compassion. She and her husband shared a love for riding motorcycles, listening to live music, and old classic cars. Time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was what she treasured most.
Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Cheek, Sr. and Faye Brand; her brothers, Robert Cheek, Jr. and Larry Hanson; her sister, Shirley Jordan.
Those left to cherish Debbie's memory are her husband, Dave Berthold; her daughters, Marissa Thompson, Wendy McCarty, Leia McQuien, and Eve McQuien; her sons, Malachi McQuien and wife, Melissa; her brothers, Rick Cheek and wife, Kris, Terry Hanson and wife, Angie; her grandchildren, Lauren, Lacey and husband, Gavin, Alexis, Kayden, Kaleb, Kennedy, Olivia, Kaiser, Alexander, and Lightning (Sebastian); her great-grandchildren, Leilani, Isais, Ina, and Noah; along with her dear friends, Trevor and Dusty Nichols, many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
