Wellman- Deborah Lee Boyse was born on September 10, 1949, in Long Beach California, the daughter of Orville and Evelyn (Spivey) Price. She moved to Iowa with her mother when she was an infant. She graduated from City High School in 1968. Deborah was united in marriage to Kenneth Boyse on March 4, 1972, in Rock Island, Illinois. She worked for Northwest Insurance as an Underwriter for 12 plus years, Hochstetler Insurance for 8 years, Sharon Mutual Insurance, ACT, and Sleepy Hollow Campgrounds part time. Deborah enjoyed golfing, sewing, camping, crafts, and spending time with her family. She passed away peacefully surounded by her family on June 24, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospital DownTown at the age of 74.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth Boyse of Wellman, two sons; Wyatt (Amy) Boyse of Kalona and Jamie (Wendy) Boyse of Wellman, a daughter Crystal Boyse of Washington. 7 grandchildren Jessica Vandenburg, Derek Boyse, Dakota (Hannah) Boyse, Jordan Wallace, Joshua Wallace, Carson Boyse, Brenten Boyse and 1 great grand daughter Kaliegh Edwards. Three brothers David (Julie) Price, Jeffery (Laura) Price and Jay (Dede) Price and 1 sister Orvilla Heck. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and a infant sister Dafney Price and brother-in-law Fred Heck.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Friday, June 28, 2024 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Burial will be in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A memorial fund has been established Washington County Hospice.
