Mrs. Debbie Campbell, 76, of Gibsonville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Peak Resources after several months of failing health. We are glad to say she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Debbie was born August 24, 1948 and was a native of Alamance County. She worked at Glen Raven Mills in Altamahaw for several decades before moving on to work at Sue Lynn Textiles in Haw River. She retired in 2012. Debbie attended New Hope Baptist Church and was always sad when her health wouldn’t allow her to attend in person.

Debbie was a simple lady who didn’t require much or ask for much. She didn’t have degrees or an extensive education, or a lot of hobbies. What she did enjoy out of life was being a wife and mother, working hard, and going to church. She loved to go on work trips with her husband, Sam, when he was still working and traveling, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs. She was happiest just being at home watching TV, eating a bowl of ice cream or chocolate covered cherries, with a dog in her lap. While she could shop at the fancy department stores, she much preferred shopping at thrift stores, where she could find items that fit her simple sense of style. Sam loved doing yard work and planting flowers and she was so proud of all his hard work displayed throughout their yard. Debbie was an amazing wife and mother with a great sense of humor that wouldn’t “sugar coat” anything for anyone. She was a “tell it like it is” kind of person and she will be missed so very much.

Debbie is survived by her devoted daughter, Carla Warren and husband Mike; sister, Vanessa Allison, sister-in-law, Rosemary Campbell, three nieces, and her beloved Maltese, Lucky. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Roger Samuel Campbell; mother, Cloria Mabry Keck; sister, Jo Dickerson; and rescue dogs, Ellie and Cabby.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:45 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church. A celebration to celebrate Debbie’s life will follow the visitation at 11 AM at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow the service at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.
