Deborah "Debbie" Carpenter

Deborah Carpenter, of Blackwell, age 67, passed away on February 20, 2026 at Nu Roc Nursing Home under the care of Compassus Hospice. She was born on February 2, 1959 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Ron and Sharon (Pitt) Mach of Elcho.

Her father served 22 years on active duty in the United States Army, including a posting at Fort Bragg (now Fort Liberty) as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. As a result, Debbie lived in seven different states across the country growing up. She worked at Perkins Restaurant in Appleton as a waitress until she became disabled due to health reasons, and resided at Nu Roc nursing home for three years until her death.

Debbie had three children: Keith Carpenter, who preceded her in death, Kris Carpenter of Iola, and Ryan Carpenter of Oshkosh. She also had five grandchildren: Bryan Carpenter, Amanda Carpenter, Aimee Geriba, Courtney Christian, and Kris Carpenter Jr.

In addition to her son, she was preceded death by a brother, Brian Mach.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m. at Upper Room Family Church in Elcho with Rev. Shane Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Burial took place in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
