Deborah Creed Obituary

Deborah Charline Creed, affectionately known as Debbie, passed away on November 16, 2024 leaving behind a legacy filled with love. Born on June 16, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky, Debbie was the embodiment of a strong-willed spirit that radiated warmth and energy to all who knew her.

As a devoted mother, Debbie cherished her children: Adandra Torres-Martin (Jamie), Tony Torres (Rose), and Ricky Torres (Amy). Her pride in her family was unwavering, and her grandchildren-Cruz Martin, Isabela Martin, Lillianna Torres, Mya Crawford, A.J. Torres, Riley Torres, Adan Torres, Maddox Torres, and Christian Torres-were her greatest accomplishments. She loved them fiercely, always making time for their laughter and milestones, which brought her immeasurable joy. Debbie and her family also held a special place in their hearts for her care-givers at Forest Creek Village.

Debbie is also survived by her siblings, Vanessa Coulter (Clyde), Russell Boyd, Rhonda Gladin (Eddie), and Timothy Boyd.

Debbie's warm heart found expression in her hobbies. She loved going on cruises, creating cherished memories with loved ones on the open sea. Cooking and baking were also passions of hers; she delighted in crafting delicious cakes for friends and family. She had an unyielding drive to stay busy, always moving and finding ways to connect with those around her.

Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James "J.W." Boyd and Dorothy Tucker Boyd, as well as her brother, William Boyd.

As we mourn the loss of Debbie, let us celebrate her vibrant spirit, her unwavering love for family, and the joy she brought into the world. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her, reminding us to embrace life with the same passion and fervor she did.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden, Indiana
