Deborah Cunnien Obituary

Deborah Jean Cunnien, 65, of Idaho Falls, passed away on March 12, 2025, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born on November 15, 1959, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Johnnie Davidson and Jean Marie Davidson. Deborah grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School, where she built a foundation for the life she would later create.

On April 25, 2003, Deborah married Michael John Cunnien in Idaho Falls, and together, they made their home where Deborah worked as an accountant for various companies, including Bank of Commerce, Larsen Farms, and Monroc. Her passion for her work was only outmatched by the love she had for her family.

Deborah's greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones. She was incredibly proud of her children and grandchildren.

In her free time, Deborah enjoyed working in her yard, where she found peace and fulfillment, and she loved spending weekend nights country dancing with friends. Whether dancing to a favorite song or planting her favorite flowers, Deborah embraced life with a spirit that was both lively and full of love. She also cherished the simple pleasures of life, often gathering with family for card games and sharing pizza. These moments brought her immense joy, and they became lasting memories of love and laughter. She also enjoyed crafting when time allowed, creating pieces that reflected her nurturing heart.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Michael John Cunnien of Idaho Falls; her mother, Jean Davidson; her children, Elisha Lenz (Jeff Lenz), Robert Peterson III (Amanda Peterson), Ryan Peterson (Trish Everson), and Tyler Cunnien (McKenna Cunnien); her grandchildren, Brooklyn Lenz, Braxton Lenz, Trayson Lenz, Kaitlyn Peterson, Madison Peterson, Payton Gerrard, and Greyson Everson; and her siblings, Fred Davidson (Jan Davidson), Sherry Richmond (Jim Richmond), Cindy Schenck (Mike Schenck), and Carrie Crow (Jeremy Crow).

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Davidson.

A gathering to celebrate Deborah's life will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., with memories shared from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. Burial will follow at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
