Deborah Davenport Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Adcock Funeral Home - Spring Lake on Mar. 30, 2026.
Deborah Davenport, age 72, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026. Born on May 28, 1953, Deborah lived a life marked by service, compassion, and a deep love for her family and the world around her.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Deborah carried her sense of duty and dedication throughout her life. Following her military service, she continued caring for others through her work at the VA Hospital, where she eventually retired. She also found success as a real estate broker, helping many families find homes of their own.

Deborah had a love for the outdoors and found great joy in spending time at the beach, fishing, and visiting the mountains. She was known for her generous spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand or give to those in need. Her kindness and selflessness touched many lives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Simons and her sister, Barbara (Tony) Morigerato.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas David Coppedge; her son, Joseph Michael Gailliard step son David Jason Coppedge; and her step daughter, Nicole Wilcock. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Michael Coppedge (Denise), Ronald Coppedge, and James E. Coppedge (Cindy); her nephew Anthony Morigerato; her nieces, Lori (Matt) Schrom, Erin (John) Powhida, her loving niece Tara Morigerato, her great-niece, Heather Morigerato and great nephew Colby Schrom, along with several nieces and nephews and the Gailliard family. Deborah leaves behind a legacy of love in her four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who will cherish her memory always.

A visitation will be held at Adcock Funeral Home, Spring Lake, NC, Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 12:30 pm. A Funeral Service will start immediately after the visitation in the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 pm.
