Deborah "Deb" Ann (Stojkovich) Walunas

Deborah “Deb” Ann (Stojkovich) Walunas, age 64, of Mechanicsburg, died surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 30, 2026. Deb was born on Saturday, July 29, 1961, in Harrisburg to the late George Peter Stojkovich and Ruth Mae (Litsinger) Stojkovich.

Deb’s survivors include her husband of 39 years, Keith James Walunas; her son: Brian Walunas and wife Sarah, of Camp Hill; and her two grandchildren: Austin and Natalie.

Deb graduated from Mechanicsburg Area High School as part of the class of 1979. Throughout her career, she was employed by Commercial Union Insurance for a period spanning over three decades, and most recently, she worked at OIP Camp Hill in the billing department. Deb possessed a creative flair, evident in her enthusiasm for arts and crafts, ceramics, painting, and candle making. Her hobbies included fishing and camping, with a particular fondness for Hidden Valley, as well as exploring up and down the coast. Following numerous years of wearing professional footwear, she developed a fondness for Crocs, accumulating a collection of over 100 pairs.

Deb was a remarkable cook, and took great pleasure in preparing delicious traditional meals, such as chicken pot pie. She liked playing bingo for a good cause and had a passion for tie-dye, always on the lookout for new pieces to find. Deb will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

All are welcome to join Deb’s family at her celebration of life open house on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation). Over 100 parking spaces are available; just look for the “Buhrig” parking signs in all of the parking lots. Cremation was private.
