Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Begley Baker

Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Begley Baker, who left this world on June 30, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on July 14, 1955, in Hyden, Kentucky, Debbie's life was a testament to her deep love for her family and her unwavering dedication to creating a warm and nurturing home.

Debbie was a proud homemaker, whose greatest accomplishments were the love and support she provided to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, always finding joy in their company. Debbie had a rich variety of interests that included sewing, canning, gardening, crafts, and word search puzzles. She also had a great love for her furbabies that included her dog Sandy, and her beautiful cats. Each of her hobbies reflected her creativity and her desire to make life more beautiful, both for herself and for those around her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Jovina Slone (Tim Gambrel), and her loving son, Heath Hollen (Jamie). Debbie had a special bond with her twin brother, Larry Begley (Millie), and her brother, Lonnie Begley. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Samuel Hollen (Jessica Weir), Sarah Hollen, Tate Hollen, Lenox Hollen, Austin Owens (Samantha), Daniel Owens, Hannah Slone, and Blake Slone. The joy of her life also included her great grandson, Zephyr Hollen. Debbie will be remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were fortunate to know her.

Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Baker, as well as her parents, Garrett Begley and Hannah Collins Begley, her brother, Garrett Michael Begley, and her baby sister, Linda Gail Begley. Their love and memories will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

In her journey through life, Debbie touched many souls with her kindness and warmth. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral: Monday, July 7, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY.

Interment: Henry A. & Ella Begley Cemetery, (Hell-Fer-Certain Road) Hyden, KY.
