Robin Evan Terrill was born on October 15, 1951, in
Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Sol J. Terrill and Claire (Berlinger) Terrill. He completed his walk of life on this earth on March 18, 2026, at Hyden Health and Rehabilitation Center in
Hyden, Kentucky.
Robin attended Shaker Heights High School in Ohio. One of his early joys was playing the accordion at events for the Jewish War Veterans, an organization in which his parents were deeply involved. At the age of 17, he earned the honor of becoming an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Later in life, he made his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he built a life centered around family, service and community.
Robin chose a path that required both courage and compassion when he became a firefighter and paramedic. For many years, he answered calls during some of the most difficult moments in people's lives. He carried that responsibility with quiet strength and humility, always willing to step forward when someone needed help. His career ultimately came to an end after he was injured in the line of duty, but his dedication to helping others never left him.
While his work as a first responder was deeply meaningful, Robin's greatest pride was always his family. One of the roles he cherished most was being a stay-at-home father, devoting his time and heart to raising his children, Rebekka Renee Terrill and Ryan Matthew Terrill. Together with his wife, Roseann, they built a home filled with love, patience, and encouragement.
Though he spent much of his life serving others, to his wife and children he was so much more. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a proud grandfather who brought immense love, strength, and kindness into their lives and the lives of so many others. Robin had many interest and hobbies throughout his life. He was a HAM radio operator, he volunteered for multiple community events, and he provided emergency communications for government agencies. Robin is preceded in death by his parents, Sol J. Terrill and Claire (Berlinger) Terrill, and his brother, Martin J. Terrill.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Roseann (Saylor) Terrill of
Hyden, Kentucky; his cherished children, Rebekka Terrill (E.J. Rogers) of Fort Myers, Florida, and Ryan Terrill (Hilda Terrill) of Jacksonville, North Carolina; his precious grandchildren, Romieo Julius Rogers, Mia Isabella Terrill, and Ira Matthew Terrill; his brother, Ronald D. Terrill (Maryann Terrill) of
Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Robin's life was defined by service, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to his family. He met others with open arms in their time of need and loved his family with unwavering devotion. He leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, kindness, and selflessness. His presence brought comfort, his actions spoke louder than words, and his love will continue to guide and inspire those who were blessed to know him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts, memories, and lives of his family and friends for generations to come.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be determined.
