Deborah DeWald

Deborah "Debbie" Sue DeWald, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. Debbie was a longtime resident of Seminary, Mississippi, where she lived for 40 years. She was born on January 13, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald J. DeWald and Florence Barrer Rey, and her beloved sister, Donna DeWald.

She is survived by her loving family, including her sons, Darsel Tebo (Heather) and Derrick DeWald (Renee). She was a proud grandmother to Ryan Smith, Preston Ferrell, Dylan Seawright, Dayde Tebo, and Jaydehn Norman, and a cherished great-grandmother to Ryan Smith, Jr. and Kendall Smith.

She is also survived by her brother, Donnie DeWald (Linda); her nephew, Donald DeWald, Jr. (Hope); and her niece, Clalie Faith DeWald.

Debbie will be remembered as a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend whose love, kindness, and devotion to her family touched the lives of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Seminary Baptist Church, located in Seminary, Mississippi. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
