Marlene Hack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ritchay Funeral Home - Wisconsin Rapids on Feb. 19, 2026.
Marlene Dolores Hack, age 91, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026. Born on June 26, 1934, to Agnes and Oscar Hendrickson, she spent her life rooted in the community she cherished in Wisconsin Rapids.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Entombment will be held at Forest Hill Mausoleum.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and wife, Marlene lived a life centered on family, faith, and service. She graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to build a remarkable 46 year career with Consolidated Papers, where her dedication and strong work ethic left a lasting impression.

Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. As a devoted member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, she found purpose, community, and joy in her parish. On December 9, 1967, she married Larry R. Hack, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.

Marlene is survived by her children Michael (Wendy) Hack of Nekoosa, WI, and Jean (Jim) Slezak of Oshkosh, WI; and by her beloved grandsons Mitchell Slezak of Chicago and Jacob Slezak of Chicago. One of the greatest joys of her life was watching her grandchildren grow into successful, kind, and loving men. She was an adoring grandmother whose pride in them was immeasurable.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Agnes Hendrickson; her brother, Wayne Hendrickson; her husband, Larry Hack; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated health care professionals who supported Marlene throughout her journey at The Waterford Assisted Living and The Renaissance Assisted Living.

They are especially grateful to the compassionate team at St. Croix Hospice-especially Dani and Toni-for the exceptional care, comfort, and support they provided to Marlene this past year.

Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
