John Wesley Hack, 81, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Transcendent Healthcare North in Boonville, Indiana. He was born March 18, 1944 in Grayson County to the late William and Emma Oller Hack. John was retired from Western Kentucky Gas/Atmos Energy after 35 years and was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Plano Chapel Holiness Church in Bowling Green where he served as a deacon. John received a Business degree from Kentucky Wesleyan College and enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He also was an avid U.K. basketball fan, enjoyed square dancing, and being in the outdoors where he loved raising a garden. John was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Gene Hack on July 14, 2020 and his two siblings, Bro. Billy Hack and Imogene Fleming.
Surviving are his children, Wesley Hack and his wife Maureen of Boonville, and Emily Gheyssens and her husband Gregg of Portland, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Robert, Dagon, Haley, Johnny, Lauren, and Bailey; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 6 PM Thursday, January 15, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville on Friday. Visitation will be from 3 PM until 6 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
