Deborah Fields, 60, loving mother and wife, died on December 13th, 2021, after an ongoing battle with breast cancer in her mother's home in Kensington, Philadelphia, PA. Deborah is survived by her daughter, Lillian Fields; her mother, Elizabeth Lund (Weeden); her siblings Christopher Lund and Colleen Gallagher; and her best friend Gail Gillis, who loved her and was loved as a sister. She is predeceased by her husband, Anthony Fields; her father, Thomas Lund Sr.; and her siblings, Thomas Lund Jr. and Michael Lund. Deborah was born on May 20th, 1961, to Thomas and Elizabeth Lund, and lived on Lippincott Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On January 9th, 1993, she married Anthony Fields, whom she spent 27 happy years with living in their home in West Nanticoke before his unexpected passing in 2020. On March 13th, 1998, she and her husband together welcomed their daughter, Lillian, into the world, who was the most important part of their lives. Deborah was a devoted mother and nurturing woman, who spent many years working with children. She was adored and admired by the many children she worked with throughout the different job positions she held during her lifetime. Deborah worked as a preschool teacher, elementary and middle school lunch monitor, front desk secretary, and guidance office secretary. She also had a profound love for animals, including her cat and dog, Autumn and Scooter respectively. She enjoyed celebrating the holidays and traveling to Wildwood, NJ with her family, and was renowned amongst her friends and family for her sense of humor. Wherever she was, she was able to fill a room with laughter. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing 9 AM to 10:30 AM this Saturday, the 18th of December, at Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home 2614 Orthodox St, Philadelphia. Her funeral service will be held 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in North Cedar Hill Cemetery. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered to her daughter at 35 E 4th Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815, as well as her mother at 3415 Emerald Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134. Debbie you will be truly missed. I am so glad you are not suffering anymore and that you are now with Tony but I am sad for Lillian and the family you left behind. You loved with your whole heart and I only hope they remember and feel that love always. Your personality shone like the sun when you entered a room! You were an amazing friend, mother and wife. Continue to guard and guide those you love. Lilly I am here if ever you need anything because I know she would be there for Tonya. I'm grateful to have been a part of your lives for as long as I have. God Bless.

Debbie I miss you so much, you were a very special friend. I have a void in my heart and the school is not the same without your infectious smile and personality. You were a friend to all and such a joy to be around. You made each day special for so many people and students included. Heaven gained a beautiful soul, and always remember when a bell rings an angel gets their wings. ❤

I cannot believe this. My heart is broken. Miss Debbie was my preschool teacher and she always taught me to be myself no matter what. I’m sending a lot of light and love during these difficult times.
