Deborah Jane George, 75, of Covington, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on October 1, 1950, in Seattle, Washington, Deborah was a beloved member of her community and a cherished matriarch of her family.
Deborah had a heart full of love for animals, especially cats, opening her home to many strays throughout her life. Her compassionate nature extended to all living beings, reflecting a profound respect for life and its beauty. In addition to her love for animals, she found immense joy in the splendor of nature, often seeking solace in its wonders.
Above all, Deborah was deeply devoted to her family. She is survived by her son, Michael George, and her daughter, Angela Trammel, who hold dear the countless memories created together. Her brothers, Bradley Pearson and Daniel Pearson, also carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Donna Pearson, who nurtured her spirit and love for life. Their memory lives on through her family and in the many lives she touched.
A private memorial service for Ms. George will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Newton County Animal Services, 210 Upper River Road., Covington, Ga 30016.
