Debra George Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Null & Son Funeral Home on Feb. 16, 2026.
Debra "Debi" Sue George, of Newburg, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026 at the age of 73.

Debi was born March 8, 1952, in Rolla, Missouri, to the late Paul Tyler and June (Wofford) Tyler. On July 14, 1996, she was united in marriage to Arno Ward George.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Chucky Davis; and her brother, Steve Tyler.

Debi found joy in life's simple and beautiful moments. She loved singing along to her favorite songs, dancing whenever the music moved her, and spending peaceful hours tending to her garden. The Christmas season was especially dear to her heart, and she delighted in decorating her home with warmth and sparkle, making it a welcoming place for all who entered. More than anything, Debi treasured time spent with her family. Her greatest happiness came from being with her grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and the kind of warmth only she could give.

Debi will be deeply missed by her loving family, which includes her husband, Arno George of Newburg, Missouri; her two daughters, Elizabeth Tyler of Rolla, Missouri, and Maureen LeClaire of Columbia, Missouri; her sister, Sandra Merson and husband Bob of Rolla, Missouri; six cherished grandchildren, Kelsi Howard, Sierra LeClaire, Jaleel Zachery, Jada Zachery, Jami King, and Liam Yakab; four precious great-grandchildren, Ariel Howard, Luca Carter, Hallie Howard, and Miles Zachery; as well as her two beloved dogs, Bella and Benji.

A memorial service honoring the life of Debra "Debi" Sue George will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Rolla Animal Shelter.
