Deborah Grevers

Deborah Suzan (Steiner) Grevers, 68, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 1, 2026. She was born on August 3, 1957, the daughter of Frank William Steiner and Delores Louise (Burke) Forsythe. She attended Lakeview High School. Throughout her career, she had various administrative jobs where she was respected for her commitment to service with her last one being at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center in 2020.

Before her illness, she enjoyed traveling whenever possible and being a member of bowling and golf leagues. She was a very independent, strong minded and caring person who had an unwavering devotion to her family. She had a deep appreciation for life's simple joys. She absolutely loved her coffee all day long! She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, keeping up with current events, winning at chess and cooking for family just to see the smile on their faces.

The last few months of her life were very difficult for her, but her pain and suffering are over now, and she is finally at peace. She will be lovingly remembered by her family for her boundless love, joyful spirit, and steadfast faith to our Heavenly Father.

Deborah is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Nicholson of Battle Creek; son, Peter (Tonya) Grevers of Marshall; mother, Delores Forsythe; brothers, James (Lea-An) Steiner, Randy (LuAnn) Steiner, Todd Steiner, Dan Hirleman; sisters, Gail Granie, Cherise (Rick) Jackowski; grandchildren, Drew (Leah) Banning, Jaslyn (Ashton) Banning; nephews, Justice Steiner, Chad (Katie) Steiner, Charles Granie; niece, Katie Carpenter; special aunts, Peggy (Anthony) Watson and Katie Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank William Steiner; grandmother, Della Mae Dull; aunt, Elaine Blaskie and nephew, Greg Huge.

Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 West Dickman Road, on Saturday March 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Interment will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
